Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey)   The Cup tie at Kinrossie last Saturday was postponed due to ground conditions. Saturday they are on the all-weather pitch and welcome Corkerhill from Glasgow for a fourth round tie in the Scottish Cup. Game kicks off at 2.00p.m.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring)   The team were disappointed to lose by five goals to three at Dunbarney last week. On Sunday they are at home to Green Room.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration) The game at Forfar last weekend was postponed. On Sunday they entertain Dundee Villa in a quarter final cup tie.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  Against Kinnoull last week the team playing on the all-weather pitch were in top form winning by eight goals to nil. On Sunday away to Scone Thistle.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  Game against Scone Thistle last weekend was cancelled due to referee shortage. This Sunday on their travels to play a league game at Blairgowrie.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  Due to the Methven pitch being out of use at the moment the game against Luncarty was re-arranged. The change of venue didn’t upset the Tangies as they won by a considerable margin. On Sunday they visit Scone Thistle.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) Game at Riverside, Dundee was called off. This Sunday they travel to play ACSC in a second round cup tie for the J Duffy Cup.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor)  With Seven Acres grass pitch unplayable the game against Jeanfield Reds was switched to North Muirton. The Tangies had a comfortable four goals to nil success. The game planned for this weekend has been postponed to a later date.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants)  The big game against Jeanfield Black turned out to be a success for the visitors who ran out winners by five goals to one. On Sunday away to Blairgowrie. Travel arrangements will be advised.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd)  Quite a day last Sunday with the team having success at Breadalbane followed by a presentation afternoon at Almondbank. Training as usual this week at Letham.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) Great end to end game at Blairgowrie last Sunday only to lose out with a last minute goal. Presentations later at the Corinna which was enjoyed by all. Training continues at Letham.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth)  The game against Bridge of Earn was brought forward resulting in a win for the Brig in a high scoring game. Training as usual on the all-weather pitch.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre)  Not a good day at home to Pitfour last weekend. Training continues as usual on the all-weather pitch.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store) Thrilling game last week at home to Pitfour with honours even. Reminder that training continues on the all-weather pitch as usual.          

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Manzil Restaurant)  A very spirited performance against Scone last week with the additional coaches now in place. On Sunday they are having an end of season bash at Noah’s Ark in the afternoon followed by a visit to the sponsor at 5.30 p.m.

Letham 2005 White The more experienced Bridge of Earn side were too good on the day against the Whites. Presentation night will be on Wednesday at Odesi, County Place from 7.15 p.m.

All Letham Girls teams  A very successful presentation evening was held in the Tulloch Institute followed by a disco. With over 200 being in attendance this was truly a remarkable commitment of support from parents and players and Fiona and the club appreciated this very much.

Letham Girls U15   Friendly against Tullibody Ladies on Saturday on the all -weather pitch kicking off at 10.30 a.m.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)  The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)  Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. Pay to Play 

Letham Community Sports Club,  in conjunction with Active Schools offer school kids in primaries four to seven an opportunity every Tuesday from 3.30 till 5.00 p.m. to play football on their new state of the art all-weather pitch at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham for a £1. with qualified football coaches. Best to wear boots and wear warm clothing. No need to pre-book.

Walking Football

Letham Community Sports Club,  in conjunction with Live Active invite women and men to play walking football on Fridays between 11.15 am and 12.15 p.m. at the Letham Centre, Tweedsmuir Road, Letham. It is free. More information from Bill Ellis on 07957864289
