Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts, Sidey)   After two weeks of inactivity from fixtures the team is back in action on Saturday with a league game at Coupar Angus. Meet clubhouse at 12.15 p.m.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring)  Due to a three goal to one victory over Taybank the team claimed a semi-final spot in the League Cup. On Sunday they play Christies at Seven Acres.

Letham over 35  This new team of veterans play Scone tonight at Seven Acres. They will be the first team to play a match on the new all-weather pitch which only opened on Monday night.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,)   At Dundee West last week the Sky Blues recorded a good three goals to one victory. On Sunday they travel to play Dalbeath Colts in the first round of the Scottish Cup.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  Due to lack of referee the game at Breadalbane was postponed to another date. A trip to play Forfar B.C. is required this Sunday for a first round tie in the Scottish Cup.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  At Seven Acres last Sunday a wonder goal in the closing minutes by Stanley Socca was enough to gain all three points in a close game ending in a three goals to two victory for the visitors. Their Scottish Cup tie this Sunday requires the team to travel to play Kelty Marion Colts. Travel arrangements will be advised.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)    At Scone last weekend the Tangies recorded a fine four goals to two victory. On Sunday they entertain Kirkcaldy Athletic in the first round of the Scottish Cup.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)    The team is adapting very well to life in the Dundee league. Last weekend at Forfar they recorded a fine three goals to two victory. This was followed on Tuesday night in Dundee against Celtic when they powered through to a six goals to one result. This Sunday on the new all–weather pitch they entertain Kirkcaldy YM Colts in the first round of the Scottish Cup.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Playing good attacking football the Tangies were too good for a spirited Crieff team. This Sunday in the Scottish Cup Douglas Lads Club from Dundee are the visitors.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street)   Against Jeanfield Blacks last week the team secured a fine six goals to two victory. On Sunday in the Scottish Cup they have a very difficult tie when they face Blue Brazil.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,)    The local derby games against Jeanfield are usually tight affairs but this time the visitors were too good for the Tangies. A game at Crieff is required this Sunday.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)  A close and exciting game at Blairgowrie last week. Home to Bridge of Earn on Sunday. Dave will confirm arrangements.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) The team had much the better of the game against their club mates from the Whites. This Sunday on the all-weather pitch they play Crieff.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) This new team found for the second week running that their fellow club mates don’t do any favours. This Sunday they are at home to Bridge of Earn on the new all-weather pitch.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,)   The team maintained their recent good form at Breadalbane. On Sunday on the all-weather pitch they play Pitfour.    

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Sportsmatch,Meldrum Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.)   A very good Crieff side were too much a match for the Tangies last week. This weekend the scheduled game at Breadalbane has been postponed.

Letham 2005 Whites. Two new teams played an entertaining and fair game at Blairgowrie. Away to Scone this Sunday. Rhona will confirm arrangements.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating) The home game against Raith Rovers resulted in an away victory by a fair margin. Tomorrow they play Forfar Eagles on the new all –weather pitch.

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)   Last week’s game was postponed. No game on Saturday.

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association)     No game last week. On Saturday they are at home to Jeanfield.

Letham Girls U11 White     The team competed in the festival in Dundee last week and acquitted themselves very well. On Saturday they are away to Raith Rovers.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)    Please note as from Saturday the Soccer School switches to a new time of 9.00a.m. This is due to the fact that the sessions will now take place on new all-weather pitch. Please wear boots that would be worn on grass, bring a drink and wear shin pads. Price remains at £2     

All-weather pitch       The club is delighted to announce that the all-weather pitch was opened for use last Monday. This state of the art facility has been well received. A booking system is now live and is available on line through the club’s web site. http://www.lethamfc.com/

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)    Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams.
