3G Pitch - An Update
We are aware that there has been no update since July 2012 on the progress of the new pitch, so we thought that this would be an opportune time to update everyone. Over the past 6 months, we have been woking extremely hard and closely with Sport Scotland in order to fulful their funding criteria and provide assurances that the project can be a success. We are now finalising this process, having gone through a financial review by BDO and they are finalising their report. Whilst there were some minor points that they picked up on, we have worked to put in place any changes that they recommended and they are comfortable with our business plan. We are now finalising all our funding applications with a view to starting construction of the pitch in Spring 2013. Our chosen construction company is primed and we are now just awaiting the go ahead from Sport Scotland along with a couple of other smaller funding partners. Therefore, with a build time of between 12-16 weeks, dependent on weather, the new pitch should be here in the summer, just in time for the new 11-a-side season to kick off !
