Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Alexis Rose, Howdens Joinery,DRC Contracts, Sidey) The scheduled tie at Kinrossie was postponed due to ground conditions. At the eleventh hour Fairfield offered to play a league game at Letham and this took place on the 3G facility. The Tangerines were grateful for Fairfield playing the match which resulted in a substantial victory for the home team. On Saturday they entertain Balmoral in the league.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring)  No game last weekend. On Sunday they entertain Taybank in a league match.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)  The game at home to Tayport ended in a five goals to four defeat. All was going well with the team finding their form. However following the loss of a player reducing the team to ten players the visitors staged a fight back from four goals to two down to sneak home by the odd goal in nine. On Sunday it is back to league business with an away trip Carnoustie.

 Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  The game at Jeanfield was cancelled. No game this Sunday.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  Following meeting with players last Friday it was decided that due to outside influences it would be best if the team no longer operates. Reminder that all club equipment to be returned to the clubhouse at Seven Acres.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)   The team records it’s grateful thanks to the sponsors for their support in the past and especially for the current season by presenting new strips last Sunday. The team then played Crieff on the 3G pitch and won handsomely. No game this weekend.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)   The game at Dundee against Dundee West was postponed for the second week in a row. It is hoped that weather conditions improve for the game to go ahead this Sunday.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor)   The home game against Blairgowrie was exciting before a considerable crowd. The Tangerines were a bit disappointed when Blair equalised in the last minute to secure a two all draw. This Sunday at home to Jeanfield Swifts Red with later kick off than normal.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants)  Weather put paid to last week’s fixture. This Sunday away to Crieff for a league game.  .

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd)  Cathy has organised a special training session on Sunday. Meet clubhouse at 3.45 p.m.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) The team is preparing for the new season when they go to eleven a side. Coaching each Wednesday at 6.00p.m.

Letham 2006 Sky Blue (sponsored by McDonalds) This new team is in the process of being formed and has commenced coaching sessions on Friday evenings from 7.00p.m.

Letham Girls  

Training /coaching sessions for all girls has resumed at Seven Acres on Monday evening from 6.00pm.

Brand new for the season of 2015 the U17s team; training times are Monday and Thursday nights 5.45pm – 7.00pm.

The 17s play on a Sunday morning in the East Region league, we currently looking for a goalie and a few more players to strengthen the team. If you are interested contact Fiona MacDonald on 07761025216

U15s are back training on Monday and Thursday nights 5.45pm - 7pm and games are played on a Saturday morning in the East region league. The 15s are also looking to strengthen the team with a few more players. If you are interested contact Fiona MacDonald 07761025216

The team played Linlithgow last Saturday in a friendly and whilst the visitors won the young Tangies played very well and showed lots of promise

U13 tangerines train on a Thursday night 5.45pm - 7. 00 p.m.

Brand new for 2015 our second u13s tangerine juniors, training on a Monday night 5.45pm - 7pm. Kim will send out any details for extra training or friendlies

U11s whites are back training on a Monday night 5.45pm - 7pm Kirsten and Ian will send out any details for extra training or friendlies. The team is now being sponsored by Nawaabs Restaurant.

U9s are back training on a Monday night 5.45pm – 7.00p.m.

Girls Football Festival

Takes place on the 3G pitch at Seven Acres Park this weekend. Under 11 girls on Saturday at 10 to 2.00p.m. Under 13 girls on Saturday 10.00 am to 2.00p.m. i On Sunday it is the turn of the U15 girls from 10 to noon and the U17’s from noon to 2.00p.m. More details from team coaches.

Any girl's interested in playing for any of the teams contact Fiona MacDonald 07761025216 or come along to the training night. All the girls are very welcoming to new players and players come from as far as Pitlochry, Auchterarder and Dundee.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)   The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather 3G pitch at Seven Acres tomorrow Saturday. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance. No need to pre-book.

Pay to Play

Letham in conjunction with Active Schools offer school kids in primaries four to seven an opportunity every Tuesday from 3.30 till 5.00 p.m. to play football on their new state of the art all-weather pitch at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham for a £1. with qualified football coaches. Best to wear boots and wear warm clothing. No need to pre-book.

Walking Football        

Letham in conjunction with Live Active invite women and men to play walking football which recommenced last  Friday 16th, January 2015 between 11.15 am and 12.15 p.m. at the Letham Centre, Tweedsmuir Road, Letham. More information from Bill Ellis on 07957864289

Charity Football Match

On the all-weather pitch at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham on Sunday 1st February a charity football match will take place between a Letham Select against Perthshire Referees at 4.00p.m. Special appearances by former professional players Danny Griffin, Jim Weir and Colin McGlashan. Raffle prizes include a signed Saints jersey. Proceeds go to help Jack McNaughton to receive treatment in America.
