Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Alexis Rose, Howdens Joinery, DRC Contracts, Sidey)  The team won through to the sixth round of the Scottish Amateur Cup by defeating Ballieston Thistle by four goals to two. The game in the first half was played at a frantic pace with honours even at half time at two goals apiece. The Tangerines took control in the second half notching two further goals without reply. Scorers were Smith (2), Donaldson and Gellatly. This is the first time that Letham Amateurs have reached this stage in the National Trophy. On Saturday the team have an away tie against Kinrossie in the first round of the Ashleigh Cup.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring)  The team were disappointed as they lost their semi -final tie against Buddies by six goals to one. No fixture this weekend.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)  The quarter final tie against Tayport was cancelled due to the pitch being frost bound. Weather permitting it is hoped the game will go ahead this Sunday at Seven Acres.

Letham 1990  Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  On the 3G pitch last Sunday the Tangies romped into a four goal advantage. Credit to Blairgowrie who fought back by scoring two late goals. This Sunday they travel across the city to play Jeanfield Swifts.

Letham 1999 White  (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)   Major disappointment last weekend when the game at home to Scone Thistle didn’t take place as no referee turned up. As the team have yet to play a competitive game on the new facility it is hoped that all goes well this week when Scone Thistle return for a league match.

Letham 2000 Tangerine  (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  The game at Tay Thistle was postponed due to ground conditions. On Sunday they entertain Crieff in a league encounter.

Letham  2001Tangerine  (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) The quarter final tie against Dundee West was postponed. It is hoped that conditions improve for the tie to go ahead this weekend in Dundee.

Letham  2002Tangerine  (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor)  The home league game against Jeanfield Swifts red was postponed due to frost. This Sunday Blairgowrie visit Seven Acres for a league match.

Letham  2002Sky Blue  (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants)  The game at Scone last weekend was postponed due to ground conditions. No game this weekend.         

Letham 2003 Tangerine  (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd) Winter training has resumed on the 3G pitch following the Christmas break.

Letham  2003 White (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)  Winter training has resumed on the 3G pitch following the Christmas break.

Letham 2004 Tangerine  (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) Winter training has resumed on the 3G pitch following the Christmas break.

Letham 2006 Tangerines . Additional training on Friday evenings commence at 7.00p.m.

Letham Girls . Training /coaching sessions for all girls has resumed at Seven Acres on Monday evening from 6.00p.m.

Brand new for the season of 2015 the U17s team, training times are Monday and Thursday nights 5.45 – 7.00p.m.

The 17s play on a Sunday morning in the East Region league, we currently looking for a goalie and a few more players to strengthen the team. If you are interested contact Fiona MacDonald on 07761025216

U15s are back training on Monday and Thursday nights 5:45pm  - 7pm and games are played on a Saturday morning in the East region league. The 15s are also looking to strengthen the team with a few more players. If you are interested contact Fiona MacDonald 07761025216

U13 tangerines train on a Thursday night 5:45pm - 7p.m.

Brand new for 2015 our second U13s tangerine juniors, training on a Monday night 5:45pm - 7pm.  Kim will send out any details for extra training or friendlies.

U11s whites are back training on a Monday night 5:45pm - 7pm.  Kirsten and Ian will send out any details for extra training or friendlies. The team is now being sponsored by Nawaabs Restaurant.

U9s are back training on a Monday night 5:45pm - 7pm. There will be festivals in February for the u9s, Louise will keep players updated. Also these girls have just received their new training kit they are looking very smart.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)  The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather 3G pitch at Seven Acres tomorrow Saturday. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance. No need to pre-book.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)  Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. Pay to Play         

Letham in conjunction with Active Schools offer school kids in primaries four to seven an opportunity every Tuesday from 3.30 till 5.00 p.m. to play football  at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham for a £1. with qualified football coaches. Best to wear boots and wear warm clothing. No need to pre-book.

Walking Football              

Letham in conjunction with Live Active invite women and men to play walking football which recommenced last  Friday 16th, January 2015 between 11.15 am and 12.15 p.m. at the Letham Centre, Tweedsmuir Road, Letham. More information from Bill Ellis on 07957864289
