Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey)  A hat-trick by Jackson and further goals from Ferrie and Coull were enough to see off a very good Stirling University team by five goals to three to advance into the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. On Saturday the team face formidable opposition from Dundee side NCR in the North of Tay Cup. Game kicks off at Seven Acres at 1.30 p.m.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) In an end to end game the 1995’s defeated Auld Hoose by two goals to one at Seven Acres. No fixture on Sunday.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)  In the home game against Carnoustie the Sky Blues set a cracking opening pace and waltzed into a two goals to nil advantage. Credit to the visitors who fought back well and in the end secured a victory by the odd goal in seven. On Sunday they play Ferry away in a league match.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  Stanley is never an easy place to play but last weekend the Tangies deservedly secured a two goals to nil victory. On Sunday in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup they face the renowned Tynecastle F.C. at Seven Acres. The game kicks off at 1.00p.m. and Thomas requests a big support from Letham fans to encourage the boys.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  The Whites put in a spirited display against Blairgowrie although losing by five goals to two. On Sunday they are away to Crieff Juniors.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  The supporters watching the Tangies play Scone last Sunday were treated to an exciting end to end game with Letham winning by two goals to one. On Sunday the team are at Blairgowrie.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)  Very heavy rain at the weekend caused the postponement of the home game against Ferry. This Sunday Broughty are the visitors to Seven Acres. Note kick off changed to 11.30 a.m.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) No fixture last weekend. No arrangements so far for game this weekend.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by MKM Building Merchants)  The team had a comfortable five goals to nil victory at Jeanfield Red last weekend. On Sunday Pitfour are the visiting team but this game is scheduled to be played at Almondbank.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd) Honours even last week at Jeanfield. Boys played very well. Fixture is reversed this Sunday at Seven Acres.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) Team played well at Errol last weekend. Home to Blairgowrie this Sunday.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) The Tangies had the better of the home game against Pitfour. On Sunday they entertain Jeanfield.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre)  Game postponed against Crieff last weekend. Game goes ahead this weekend on the all-weather pitch.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store)   Not such a good day for the team at Bridge of Earn last week. This Sunday home to Scone.       

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Manzil Restaurant) No game last weekend. On Sunday away to Crieff. Keith will advise travel arrangements.

Letham 2005 White  At Jeanfield last weekend the team played well but are unable to score goals that their outfield play warrants. Away to Blairgowrie this Sunday. Rhona will advise arrangements.

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)  The season is now finished. Check with Fiona regarding activities on Saturday.   

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine and Whites (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) The season is now finished. Check with Fiona regarding activities on Saturday.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)    The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at the new time of 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring warm clothing and a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)  Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. Letham 2003 Tangerines will be holding trials for additional players born 2003 or 2004 on Saturday 22nd November at 11.00a.m. At Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Perth. Contact Cathy 07808862916. This is due to the team switching to eleven a side for next season.
