Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey)   Although not at their best the Tangerines had an easy passage into the next round of the Scottish Cup when the defeated Dundee side Cannon Fodder by six goals to one at Seven Acres. Kennedy (2), Smart, McIntosh, Turnbull and an o.g. were the scorers. No game on Saturday.        

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring)  The team got back to winning ways last week when they defeated Green Room by four goals to one. On Sunday morning they entertain Moncrieffe Arms on the all-weather pitch.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)   With the normal goalie out injured the Sky Blues are experiencing real defensive problems. Last week was no exception and despite holding Monifieth in the first half were outgunned in the second period. No game this weekend.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  Last week’s game against Scone was postponed. On Sunday the home game against Crieff is in doubt. Please check with Thomas.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)   After two weeks of inactivity it is hoped the game on Sunday at Kinnoull goes ahead. Please check with Ronnie. 

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)    On Sunday the Tangerines have a league match at Crieff. Sandy will advise arrangements.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) At home to Riverside last week the visitors at one time held a two goal advantage. The Tangerines fought back well and secured a draw. They however felt that with a bit of luck all three points would have stayed in Perth. No game this weekend.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor)  Against local rivals Jeanfield Swifts Red  last week the Tangerines came out on top by five goals to two. No game on Sunday.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street) At Pitfour last weekend the local team had no answer to the fast moving forwards of the Sky Blues who rattled in eleven goals without reply. This weekend requires a visit to Blairgowrie.         

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd)  The Tangies played very well at Blairgowrie last Sunday. No games this weekend due to the holidays.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) Last week’s game against Crieff was postponed. No games this weekend.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth)  A waterlogged pitch put paid to last week’s game at Scone. No game this weekend.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre)  The Whites found it hard going in the derby game but slowly and steadily the teamwork improves. No game this weekend.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store) On the all-weather pitch last weekend the Sky Blues were too good for the new Whites team. No game this weekend.              

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Manzil Restaurant)  The Tangies in the opening session last week at Scone were very good. However the bigger and stronger away side had all the answers later in the game.

Letham 2005 White  Disappointment last weekend as visiting Crieff were unable to raise a team. No game on Sunday.

Letham over 35’s  Despite the torrential rain the game against St John’s was exciting with the final score of four goals apiece just about right.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating)   At Seven Acres last week the girls found the Dunfermline team too good for them. Saturday brings Jeanfield to Seven Acres for a league game. Game kicks off at 10.30 a.m.          

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)   Difficult game at Kirkcaldy last week against Raith Rovers. No game on Saturday.

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association)   Last week’s home game was postponed. No game on Saturday.

Letham Girls U11 White  The club’s youngest team played out of their skins last week at home to Inverkeithing and thoroughly deserved their one all draw.

Letham Girls U9    We are pleased to announce that we have formed a new team and welcome girls interested in playing football to attend our training sessions on Monday evenings from 6.00p.m. at Seven Acres. Ask for Fiona.

All-weather pitch

The all-weather pitch has now fully operational for a month.  This state of the art facility has been well received. A booking system is now live and is available on line through the club’s web site. www.lethamfc.co.uk .A new car park is now available via Balgowan Road.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)  The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at the new time of 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)   Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams.
