Letham Community Sports Club

 

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Trev’s House of Tattoos, Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. DRC Contracts, Sidey) The Tangerines suffered their first league defeat last Saturday since May 2013. A goal from a free kick in the first half at Blairgowrie by Balmoral was enough to secure all three points. Saturday brings about a second round tie for the Scottish Cup with a home match against Cannon Fodder from Dundee

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) Defensive frailties cost the team dear when they lost to Dunbarney Rovers by eight goals to six. On Sunday away to Green Room.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration)  Playing on the all-weather pitch the Sky Blues fought back well in the first half to go into the interval all square at two goals apiece. After the break however Ferry from Dundee scored a further four goals without reply. On Sunday Monifieth are visitors to Seven Acres.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  The Tangies secured a deserved two goals to nil away win in the Scottish Cup against Kirkcaldy Colts. On Sunday Scone Thistle are the visitors to Seven Acres.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)   No fixture again this week.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)  Six goals were shared last week between the Tangies and Bankfoot. Due to a previous commitment the team cannot fulfil the fixture against Blairgowrie this weekend.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)  Scottish Cup games always provide an interest and excitement. With great expectations the Tangies faced Blue Brazil from Cowdenbeath. Alas the visitors were too good on this occasion winning by eight goals to two. This Sunday brings Riverside to the Viewpoint for a league match.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) In Dundee last weekend the team secured a place in the next round of the Scottish Cup with a fine two goals to one victory over Logie Harp. On Sunday they play Jeanfield Swifts Red.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street)   Games against Blairgowrie are normally a close run affair. Last Sunday however the Sky Blues were in top form scoring eight goals without conceding any. On Sunday they are down the Carse of Gowrie to play Pitfour.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd)  The Tangies made good use of home advantage last week. No game this weekend.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)   Against Jeanfield last weekend both sides put up a display that was a credit to Youth Football. A single goal by the black and whites separated the sides. This Sunday a home game against Crieff.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) The encounter between the Tangies and Bridge of Earn excited both sets of supporters with the Brig rallying strongly at the end. On Sunday away to Scone.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) This new team is progressing well albeit results are not in their favour. On Sunday they play their club mates from the Sky Blues.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store)   Excitement right to the very end against Pitfour last weekend. On Sunday they play the Whites.   

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Manzil Restaurant) The Tangies excelled themselves at Blairgowrie last week. This Sunday at home to Scone Blacks.

Letham 2005 White  No game last week. Early start this Sunday at home to Crieff.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating)    Forfar Blues were too big and powerful for the youthful Tangerines. Saturday brings another formidable opposition from Dunfermline to Seven Acres.

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)  The girls played great last weekend against East Fife only succumbing to a goal in the fifth minute of added time. Tomorrow they are back in the Kingdom against Raith Rovers

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) Home game on Saturday against East Fife Black. Kick off 10.15 a.m.

Letham Girls U11 White  On Saturday this very young side are at home to Inverkeithing. Game starts at 10.15 a.m.

Letham Girls U9  We are pleased to announce that we have formed a new team and welcome girls interested in playing football to attend our training sessions on Monday evenings from 6.00p.m. at Seven Acres. Ask for Fiona

Letham over 35 team   Is in action Friday night on the all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Kick off 7.00p.m.

All-weather pitch      

The club is delighted to announce that the all-weather pitch is now fully operational. This state of the art facility has been well received. A booking system is now live and is available on line through the club’s web site. www.lethamfc.co.uk A new car park is now available via Balgowan Road.

Dugout café      Due to the ill health of Billy, the café can no longer offer hot food and drinks. Due to demand we have installed confectionary and cold drink machines in the classroom and are operational now.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)    The soccer school for boys and girls in primaries one, two and three continues at the new time of 9.00a.m. on the new all-weather pitch at Seven Acres. Cost is £2. Please wear boots and shin guards and bring a drink.  If arriving by car please use car park via Balgowan Road entrance

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)      Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams.
