Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts, Sidey )  The team travelled to Coupar Angus for their first league game of the new season. Apart from an early flurry of activity from the homesters the Tangerines were in control of the game and ran out comfortable winners by eight goals to nil. On Saturday they play Alyth on the all-weather pitch. Meet clubhouse 12.45 p.m.       

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) There were fourteen goals scored last week in the game against Christies. Unfortunately Letham only scored six of them. On Sunday away to the Auld Hoose.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,)   The team suffered a first round exit from the Scottish Cup losing by four goals to one against a very good Dalbeath Colts

Letham U16 Tangerine  1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street)  The Tangies at Forfar for their Scottish Cup tie ran out easy eleven goals to nil winners. On Sunday it is derby day at Seven Acres against their club mates from the Whites.

Letham U16 White  1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications)  The Scottish Cup tie played last Saturday resulted in defeat by five goals to one at Kelty. This Sunday they entertain the Tangies on the all-weather pitch.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)   At home to Kirkcaldy Athletic in the Scottish cup the team lost out due to a last minute winner by the visitors. No game this weekend.   

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street)  The Tangies advanced into the next round of the Scottish Cup as Kirkcaldy YM Colts were unable to field a team.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Playing on the all-weather pitch for the first time the Tangies delighted their supporters with their brand of football which was too good for Douglas Lads Club from Dundee, winning by ten goals to one. This Sunday they visit Blairgowrie for a league match.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street)   The team had high hopes of winning through to the next round of the Scottish Cup. Alas Blue Brazil had other ideas and eventually they ran out winners by four goals to one. On Sunday Pitfour supply the opposition for a league encounter..

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,)   The team were in fine form at Crieff last weekend. On Sunday they entertain Breadalbane.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)  The team were pleased to play their friends from Bridge of Earn for their first game on the new astro turf. Home to Blairgowrie on Sunday. Dave will advise arrangements.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) The team put up a good display against a fine Crieff side. This Sunday they have a repeat fixture this time at Crieff.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) This brand new team needs time to settle down when they played Bridge of Earn last weekend. On Sunday they are at home to Blairgowrie.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,)   A very enjoyable game against Pitfour last Sunday in front of a large crowd of supporters. On Sunday away to Scone. Travel arrangements will be advised.

Letham 2005 Tangerine  (sponsored by Sportsmatch,Meldrum  Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.)   No game last week. On Sunday Scone Reds are visitors to Seven Acres.

Letham 2005 Whites. This young team tried hard against a very good Scone team. Home to Bridge of Earn on Sunday.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating)  Playing on the all-weather surface for the first time the girls were too good for the visiting Forfar Eagles. Home to Tayside Colts tomorrow.

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)  No game last weekend. On saturday they travel to play Real Fife. Transport arrangements will be advised.

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association)  The local derby against Jeanfield was exciting with the visitors just edging it. On Saturday Glenrothes Strollers are the visiting team.

Letham Girls U11 White  Raith Rovers were too good for the young development team last week. No game on Saturday

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)    Please note the Soccer School has switched to a new time of 9.00a.m. This is due to the the sessions  now taking place on new all-weather pitch. Please wear boots that would be worn on grass, bring a drink and wear shin pads. Price remains at £2    

All-weather pitch 

The club is delighted to announce that the all-weather pitch is now open. This state of the art facility has been well received. A booking system is now live and is available on line through the club’s web site. www.lethamfc.co.uk      

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)      Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams.
