Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts, Sidey) No game Saturday. Congratulations to Gav and Debbie on their marriage last weekend.

Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) The under strength team battled well but lost out to Buddies. On Sunday away to Taybank.

Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,) Against last season’s league champions Dundee Villa the Sky Blues played well and at half time the scores were tied at one goal apiece. The Dundonians however stepped up their game and finally won through by three goals to one. This Sunday away to Dundee West.

Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) Due to lack of pitches at Letham the game was switched to Blairgowrie. In a tight game the Tangies lost by the odd goal in five. On Sunday they visit Breadalbane/Ballinluig. The match kicks off at 12.30 p.m.

Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications) The new look Whites found Crieff Juniors difficult opposition going down by six goals to two. Highlight for the team was their brilliant free kick for their second goal which was worthy of bending it like Beckham. Home to Stanley Socca on Sunday.

Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd) Game against Tay Thistle was postponed. Away to Scone thistle on Sunday.

Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) Playing their first game in the Dundee league the Tangies were disappointed to lose by two goals to one against Dundee West. This was followed on Tuesday with a fine three goals to two victory at Pitfour. On Sunday they are off to Forfar. Game kicks off at 2.00p.m.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Playing their best football of the season the Tangies outplayed Pitfour. On Sunday away to Crieff.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street) The team fought hard against the older lads from Breadalbane losing by nine goals to six. On Sunday they are away to Jeanfield Swifts Black. .

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,) The boys enjoyed their Fun Day when they defeated a parents team by the odd goal in eleven. Many thanks to Cathy and the parents who supplied the goodies. On Sunday at home to Jeanfield.

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) A close but very entertaining game at home to Errol last week with both goalkeepers in top form. Away to Blairgowrie on Sunday. Dave to confirm travel arrangements. Training as usual tonight.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) The derby game was played with the usual intensity with the Sky Blues just claiming the bragging rights. On Sunday the Whites provide the opposition.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) This very new team found it hard going against Breadalbane but they need time to settle. It will again be difficult on Sunday when they face the Tangerines.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,) In an exciting derby game against the Tangies the team played very well and in the end were able to claim bragging rights. On Sunday away to Breadalbane.

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Sportsmatch, Meldrum Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.) No game last weekend. This Sunday at home to Crieff.

Letham 2005 Whites. The club’s newest and youngest team played very well at home to Jeanfield in a close game. However their play pleased both coaches and parents. On Sunday at home to Blairgowrie. Rhona will confirm details.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating) No game last week. Last night they were away at Raith Rovers. Tomorrow they anticipate having a home game in the League Cup.

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva) The team suffered badly at Raith Rovers last weekend. Tomorrow the game against East Fife has been postponed.

Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) The team were in top form at Bayview and delighted the travel support. Tomorrow they are not participating at a festival in Dundee.

Letham Girls U11 White Playing their first ever game this young side the team can take heart from their performance albeit the visiting Lomond Colts were the superior side. Tomorrow they are not participating at a festival in Dundee.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road) As the all- weather pitch is not quite completed the Soccer school continues at 10.00a.m. for boys and girls in primaries 1 & 2. Primary 3 players commence at 11.00a.m. Cost remains at £2. Please bring a drink and wear shin pads.

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund) Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams.
