Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts, Sidey) The opening match of the new season ended in a two goals apiece draw at Burrelton. Rovers opened the scoring but the Tangerines fought back to take a two goals to one lead. The game changed after sixty minutes when Letham had a players sent off. The equaliser came near the end and both teams had to settle for honours even. No game Saturday as Gav Smith their long standing player is getting married.
Letham 1995 (sponsored by Perthshire Flooring) The Tangies found themselves two goals down to Moncrieff. However they fought back and ran out winners by the odd goal in seven. On Sunday they have an away fixture against Buddies.
Letham U19 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,) Following a worthwhile pre-season friendly the Sky Blues have a very difficult opening game at home to Dundee Villa who were last season’s league champions. Game kicks off at 2.00p.m.
Letham U16 Tangerine 1999 (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) Honours even last week against Jeanfield at one goal each. On Sunday the team are scheduled to play Blairgowrie. Due to Seven Acres meantime having severe restrictions this game may have to be played elsewhere. Thomas will advise outcome.
Letham U16 White 1999 (sponsored by Alex O’Brien, Contractor. Kilmac Group, Kelly Communications) Last week’s game against Breadalbane was postponed. On Sunday Crieff Juniors visit Seven Acres.
Letham U15 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd) The opening game of the new season brings last season’s league champions Tay Thistle to Methven to face the Tangies. Game kicks off at 12.30 p.m.
Letham Tangerine U14 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) Due to lack of teams locally the Tangies this season will play their games in the Dundee & District League. Opening game this Sunday is a home league match against Dundee West. Game starts at 12.30 p.m. On Tuesday they play Pitfour at home.
Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) The opening game of the season last week against Jeanfield resulted in a defeat. On Sunday they are again away this time at Pitfour. Game kicks off at 11.00 a.m.
Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street) The team playing eleven a side for the first time had a very good seven goal to one victory over Crieff. On Sunday they are at home to Breadalbane.
Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,) Disappointment last week as game against Meigle was cancelled. On Sunday the team have a fun match against the parents.
Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge). Training as usual tonight. Home to Errol on Sunday. Game starts at 11.00a.m.
Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) Game against Scone was postponed and played last night. On Sunday it’s the first derby of the season when they are at home to the Sky Blues.
Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) This new team have their first official fixture on Sunday when they entertain Breadalbane.
Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,) The team were in top form last week against Crieff. On Sunday they look forward to the challenge from the Tangies.
Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Sportsmatch, Meldrum Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.) In an exciting game last week at Jeanfield Swifts Black the Tangies played well with both teams sharing the honours. No game this weekend.
Letham 2005 White Close but enjoyable game at Scone Reds last weekend. Home to Jeanfield this Sunday.
Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating) The girls played very well in the first half at Forfar holding their opponents to two goals. After the break however they tired and lost further goals. No game on Saturday.
Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva) Amid great excitement the Tangies fought back from being behind to scoring late on to clinch a memorable three goals to two victory over Lomond Colts. This was followed on Monday night with a game against Raith Rovers which they narrowly lost. Fiona will advise of activities for Saturday.
Letham Girls U11 Tangerine (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) Game at Dunfermline last week was postponed. On Saturday they travel to play Bayside.
Letham Girls U11 White On Saturday the team have a home game against Lomond Colts.
Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road) The Soccer School at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham. Boys and girls in primaries one and two continue at 10.00a.m. and primary three follows at 11.00a.m. Please wear football boots, shin pads and bring a drink. Cost remains at £2.00.
