Letham Community Sports Club

Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts, Sidey Glaziers )                The Annual team award ceremony is on Saturday night in the Saints Supporters Club, Barossa Street at 7.00pm for 7.30 p.m. A warm invite is extended to all supporters and friends.

Letham U15 Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) The team is holding a Race Night in the Letham Community Club on Friday 13th, June commencing at 7.30 p.m.  Looking forward for support from the Letham Community in order to enhance club funds.

Letham U14 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd)   Despite taking a two goal lead the Tangies narrowly lost out to the League champions by four goals to two to complete their season’s fixtures.

Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Playing an excellent passing game the Tangies on the day were too good for the home team at Crieff. Home game on Sunday against Blairgowrie.

Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street)   Blairgowrie is a difficult venue to get a result but last week the team played very well and their performance pleased their supporters. On Sunday a home game against Pitfour.

Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,)   The game at Meigle was called off due to the home team unable to raise a team. Team will be participating in the Steven Anderson Festival tomorrow. On Sunday Meigle are visitors to Seven Acres. Seeking a new coach to assist in developing the team for the remainder of the year and to help with the transition of playing 11 a side football next year. Further details from Cathy on 07808862916

Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge)      A much improved performance at Crieff last weekend. Training tonight as usual. The team is looking forward to taking part in the Steven Anderson Testimonial Festival tomorrow. On Sunday an away game at Jeanfield.

Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) Well played the Tangies who were in excellent form at Jeanfield. On Saturday the team has entered the Festival at McDiarmid Park. On Sunday the team have an away game at Bridge of Earn.

Letham 2004 White (sponsored by Tower Veterinary Centre) No game this weekend. Training as usual.

Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,)   The team found it hard going against Pitfour. The boys are looking forward in taking part in the Steven Anderson Testimonial Festival tomorrow at McDiarmid Park. First game kicks off at 12.30 p.m. against Scone Reds. On Sunday away at Scone. 

Letham 2005 Tangerine (sponsored by Sportsmatch, Meldrum Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.)       Last week the team came unstuck against Scone Black. On Saturday they are taking part in the festival at McDiarmid Park. Their opening game is against Bridge of Earn which kicks off at 10.00a.m. This is followed on Sunday with a home game against Breadalbane.

Letham 2005 White  The team is in action on Saturday at the Steven Anderson Testimonial Festival. Their opening opponents are Crieff which kicks off at 10.00a.m.

Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating) On Saturday the team have an away league match against East Fife. Travel details will be advised.

Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva)  Home game on Saturday against East Fife Violets. Kick off 11.30 a.m.

Letham Girls U11 Tangerines (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association)  The girls played very well in the Tournament at Cowdenbeath last week winning two games and losing one. Home game on Saturday against East Fife Gold. Kick off 10.30 a.m.

Letham Girls U11 Whites  The club’s newest team were given a stiff baptism at the Cowdenbeath Festival last week. Consideration had to be taken in the fact they are a very young side.

Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road)    Reminder that the Soccer School is now at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road, Letham. Boys and girls in primaries one and two continues at 10.00a.m. and primary three follows at 11.00a.m. All the usual coaches will be in attendance. Please wear football boots, shin pads and bring a drink. Cost remains at £2.00.  

Letham Coaches (sponsored by Scottish Co-op Community Fund)      Would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. Letham Girls U11, U13 and U15 have invitations for girls of all abilities who are under 11, under 13 and girls under 15 to attend our training sessions at Seven Acres Park, Newhouse Road on Monday and Thursday evenings. Under 11 and under 13 girls sessions are from 6 to 7.30 p.m. Under 15 girl sessions are from 7 to 8.30 p.m. Ask for Fiona or contact her on 07761025216

Letham All-weather pitch.   Progress is being made and the pitch with the work currently a week ahead of schedule. It is anticipated that the pitch will be ready for use by end of August. Everyone at the club clearly are looking forward to the big day and the opportunity to play on this state of the art facility.
