Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts) League leaders Ballinluig were shocked by Letham’s second half display when they rattled in a further seven goals to win by eight goals to one. Early in the second half the scores were level at one apiece. This victory sets up nicely the quarter final tie for the North of Tay Cup when holders Arbroath CSC are the visiting team. Game kicks off at 2.00p.m. Letham 1995 (sponsored by A & S Properties, County Place) The team continued their recent form with a narrow three goals to two victory over Saints Club. On Sunday home game against College. Letham U17 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,) In a bruising game against Dundee Villa the team went down by four goals to one which flattered the home side. On Sunday at Almondbank the team entertain Dee Club. Letham U15 Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) For the second week in a row the Tangies overcame Crieff and won through this time into the semi- final of the Colin Melvin Cup. No game this weekend. Letham U15 White (sponsored by Ian Robertson, Joiner/ McCormack Dev/SSE) Due to injuries the team forfeited the cup tie against Stanley Socca. On Sunday a visit to Scone Thistle is required for a league match. Travel details will be advised. Letham U14 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd) The tie at Abernethy was postponed last weekend. Weather permitting the game goes ahead this Sunday for a place in the final of the David Seaton Memorial Cup. Letham Tangerine U13 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) The cup tie against Scone Thistle was another keenly competed match with the visitors winning by the odd goal in three. The teams meet again on Sunday at Scone for a league game. Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Games against Jeanfield are usually close matches and last Sunday was no exception. However the Tangies at times did play very well. Home game on Sunday against Crieff. Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street) The team were pleased with last week’s performance at home to Scone Thistle. Blairgowrie visit this Sunday. Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd,) The tangies playing a good passing game were well pleased with their performance against a good Blairgowrie side. The team look forward to the away game against new boys Errol. Cathy will advise travel arrangements. Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) The Whites hosted new team Errol last week in an evenly matched game. Good football was difficult due to the pitch being extremely heavy following a period of rain. Home to Blairgowrie on Sunday. Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) The game at Breadalbane last week was postponed. On Sunday a home game against Jeanfield. Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,) Last week’s game against Scone was switched from the Sunday to Saturday. This weekend the team travel to Glencarse to play Pitfour. Travel arrangements will be advised. Letham White 2004 Will all players please note that training from now on will be at Seven Acres on Mondays from 6.00 p.m. and NOT at the gym in Perth High School. Training continues with Jerry and Rhona will advise the changed training arrangements shortly. This Saturday meet Perth High School at 11.00a.m. Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating) No game last weekend. Tomorrow they entertain Forfar Wildcats at Seven Acres. Meet clubhouse at 9.15 a.m. Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva) The team lost to Real Fife last weekend. Tomorrow away to DUSC Tangerines. Meet Seven Acres at 9.00a.m. for car share. Players please note the team will be wearing training tops and socks along with tangerine shorts. This is to avoid colour clash with the home team Letham Girls U11 (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) Whilst losing last week the girls put in a hundred per cent effort and starting to gel together. Appreciate however that this is a new and young team and will take time to develop. Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road) The Soccer School for boys and girls in primaries 1 and 2 continues tomorrow at 10.00a.m. in the Sports Hall at Perth High School. Boys and girls in primary three continues at 11.00a.m. at the same venue. Please bring a drink and wear suitable footwear for indoor. Cost is £2. Ask for Michael.
