Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts) The game at Dundee was postponed due to waterlogging. In order to prevent a fixture backlog the home cup tie against Comrie Rovers was played under lights on Tuesday at Crieff. The Tangerines duly advanced into the next round of the Ashleigh Cup by winning by eleven goals to nil. Rovers were only one goal down after 32 minutes but then the floodgates opened. Tomorrow they face D.U.M.S in the fourth round of the North of Tay Cup. The game is scheduled to be played on the University grounds off Riverside with a 2.00p.m. start. Letham 1995 (sponsored by A & S Properties, County Place) In their first season the team despite going a goal down rallied and defeated Green Room by four goals to three to play in the final of the Consolation Cup. On Sunday away to Dunbarney. Letham U17 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,) Despite having most of the play against Lochside the team was unable to convert their play into goals and duly were defeated by three goals to nil. On Sunday they have an away game at Kirriemuir. Letham U15 Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) With no game last weekend the team looks forward to playing Breadalbane/Strathtay on Sunday at Seven Acres. Game kicks off at 12.30 p.m. Letham U15 White (sponsored by Ian Robertson, Joiner/ McCormack Dev/SSE) Seven Acres was waterlogged last weekend. On Sunday Stanley Socca are visitors. Game kicks off at 12.30 p.m. Letham U14 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd) Missed chances last week against Tay Thistle meant the team narrowly lost by two goals to one. On Sunday as no official fixture the team are off to Fife for a special training session. Letham Tangerine U13 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) Last week’s game against Luncarty was postponed as the pitch was unplayable. On Sunday the team are on their travels to play Meigle Lads. Travel arrangements will be advised. Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd) Many thanks to Hilary and John Bell of the sponsors for presenting new strips to the team. This was followed with a practice game against the Whites which didn’t go too well for the Tangies. Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. Last Sunday a special practice game was organised with the Tangies. The team played very well and were delighted with the result. No indoor training tonight Friday but an outdoor session has been arranged for Sunday. Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. An outdoor session took place last Sunday and went well. Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store) Winter training continues on Monday evening at Perth High School from 6.00p.m. Paul is hopeful of an outdoor session this weekend. Details if successful will be advised. Letham 2005 Tangerines (sponsored by Sportsmatch,Meldrum Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.) Letham 2005/06 Whites Training continues on the all weather pitch at Perth High School on Saturday’s from 11.00a.m. The club is very close to appointing officials that will run this team. Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by MP & H McDonald, Plumbing & Heating) (McLeods Renewables) No game this weekend but Fiona may have a coaching session tomorrow morning. Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva) The festival at Loch Leven Campus, Kinross was cancelled last weekend. Fiona hoping to have a coaching session tomorrow morning. Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road) The Soccer School for boys and girls in primaries 1 and 2 continues tomorrow at 10.00a.m. in the Sports Hall at Perth High School. Boys and girls in primary three continues at 11.00a.m. at the same venue. Please bring a drink and wear suitable footwear for indoor. Cost is £2. Ask for Daryn or Michael. The club has no shortage of youngsters wanting to play for Letham and desperately needs additional help to meet the demand.
