Letham Community Sports Club Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts) The Tangerines will go into the hat for the next round of the Ashleigh Cup due to a hard fought victory over Methven by four goals to three. The game was switched to the North Inch as Seven Acres was waterlogged. Despite the strong wind, rain and a greasy pitch both teams produced an exciting match. All credit to Methven who gave their first division opponents a severe challenge. Tomorrow the team are down river to play Dundee University Medical Students in the fourth round of the North of Tay Cup. Travel arrangements will be advised. Letham 1995 (sponsored by A & S Properties, County Place) Due to default by Star Bar the Tangies will now play on Sunday in the semi-final of the Consolation Cup. The game is scheduled for Seven Acres with Green Room providing the opposition. Letham U17 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,) The team came back from Carnoustie last weekend with a share of the points due to a two all draw. The game was marred by a strong wind blowing off the sea. On Sunday Lochside from Forfar provide the opposition. Letham U15 Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) The derby game last week was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. No game this Sunday. Letham U15 White (sponsored by Ian Robertson, Joiner/ McCormack Dev/SSE) The new look side were disappointed that the game last week was postponed due to ground conditions at Seven Acres. This Sunday Breadalbane & Ballinluig travel down to play at Seven Acres for a league game. Meet clubhouse at 11.30 a.m. Letham U14 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd) Blairgowrie is never an easy venue to collect all three points. However the Tangies put in an excellent performance scoring three goals without reply. It is hoped they continue in this vein when they play Tay Thistle at the Bowl this Sunday. Letham Tangerine U13 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) The team continued on their way with another good performance at Luncarty defeating the home side by four goals to two. They again face the same opposition again this Sunday but this time at home. Letham Tangerine 2002 (sponsored by McDonald’s, RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd., D Peebles, Electrical Contractor) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Johnston Carmichael, Tay Street) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Vending Services Ltd) Thanks to all the boys who attended the trials last Saturday. On Sunday the team will be presented with new strips. This is followed with a practice game against the Whites. Meet clubhouse no later than 10.30 a.m. Letham White 2003 (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonards Bridge) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. On Sunday a special practice game is organised with the Tangies. Meet no later than 10.30 at clubhouse. Letham Tangerine 2004 (sponsored by Carpet Discount Store, Friarton, Perth) Winter training continues in preparation for the new season. Letham Sky Blue 2004 (sponsored by John Tainsh, Convenience Store,) Winter training continues on Monday evening at Perth High School from 6.00p.m. Now that a new backroom team has been appointed and in place the team can look forward to the new season with confidence. Letham 2005/06 (sponsored by Sportsmatch,Meldrum Construction, Perthshire Glazing Co.) Training has now moved to the all-weather pitch at Perth High School from 11.00a.m. on Saturday’s. Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by Aviva) The team have a festival at Loch Leven Campus, Kinross tomorrow. Meet Seven Acres at 8.50 a.m. for car share transportation Letham Girls U11 (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) The team play in a festival at Loch Leven Campus, Kinross tomorrow. Meet clubhouse by 8.50 a.m. for car share. Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road) The Soccer School for boys and girls in primaries 1 and 2 continues tomorrow at 10.00a.m. in the Sports Hall at Perth High School. Boys and girls in primary three continues at 11.00a.m. at the same venue. Please bring a drink and wear suitable footwear for indoor. Cost is £2. Ask for Daryn or Michael.
