Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Saints Social Club, Barossa Street. Tower Ridge Adventure Clothing. DRC Contracts) On a dreich Saturday afternoon at North Muirton the holders Letham advanced into the semi- final of the Smith League Cup with a comfortable four goals to one victory over Jeanfield. The semi-final will be played tomorrow at Seven Acres when Balmoral United from Blairgowrie are visitors. Letham 1995 (sponsored by A & S Properties, County Place) The winning streak continued last weekend with a narrow two goals to one victory over Christies. On Sunday in a cup match at seven acres the opposition will be Star Bar. Letham U17 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration,) The team lost out by a single goal in the quarter final of the Bridge Cup against Lochside, Forfar. Their cause was not helped by one of the players taking an early bath in the first half. League game on Sunday at Tayport. Letham U15 Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) Last weekend Kettins Lads were hoping to do the double over the Tangies but the home team had other ideas and won through by the odd goal in nine in what turned out to be a very exciting match. On Sunday Breadalbane Strathtay are the visitors for a league match. Letham U15 White (sponsored by Ian Robertson, Joiner/ McCormack Dev/SSE) On Sunday the team host Stanley Socca for a league match. Letham U14 Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Graham & Sibbald/ Drainco (Scotland) Ltd) At Methven last week the Tangies were too good for the young Crieff side. On Sunday they are on their travels to Auchterarder to play the local Juniors. Letham Tangerine U13 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) The pitch at Aberfeldy last weekend was waterlogged. This Sunday they have a home league match against Luncarty. Letham Girls U11 & 13 (sponsored by Aviva) Pre-season training continues on the all-weather pitch at Perth High School on Monday from 6-7.00p.m. Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by Struan Motors, Crieff Road) The Soccer School for boys and girls in primaries 1 and 2 continues tomorrow at 10.00a.m. in the Sports Hall at Perth High School.
