George Brown Passes
It was with much sadness the club learned the passing of George Brown. In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s he was responsible along with the late Russell Turnbull of transforming an ailing Letham Juvenile team into a major force not only locally but on a national scale. His teams reached the final of the East of Scotland Cup and the semi-final of the Scottish Juvenile Cup. Many of his players went on to play senior and junior football. He maintained his links with the club and his former players and was host to many at the club’s 50 year Anniversary Dinner held two years ago. Our thoughts go out to Wilma together with Scott and Sharon.
