Letham Amateurs (sponsored by Sportsters, 6-8, So. Methven Street) On Thursday the team were at their best and defeated high flying Burrelton Rovers by three goals to one in the semi-final of the League Cup at Burrelton. This was followed on Saturday by losing in the Consolation Cup at Bridgeton with an indifferent display in the last minute. Tomorrow they have the pleasure of a home game for the first time in months when Craigie are the visitors for a league game. Meet clubhouse at 12.45 p.m. Letham U19’s (sponsored by Taziker Industrial Ltd., Horwich) The team are still awaiting confirmation that they have become the first ever Letham team to win the league title whilst playing in the Dundee league. success. Letham U15 Tangerine (sponsored by Sidey Glaziers Ltd, Feus Road ) In the quarter final of the Colin Melvin Memorial Cup the team played well at Aberfeldy and secured a deserved five goals to none victory. On Sunday they are off to Auchterarder to play the local Juniors in a league match. Letham U15 White (sponsored by Murthly Sawmill, Kingswood, Murthly) The team ended their season by securing a joint runners up spot for the league championship. This in itself showed how much the team had improved throughout the season and this was down to sheer hard work and training. In a very competitive league the club closed the season by filling three of the top four positions Letham U15 Sky Blue (sponsored by Montana Restoration, ) Although going behind for the first goal the team were too good for Jeanfield in the final of the Barry Stephen Memorial Cup and ran out comfortable winners by six goals to two. On Sunday the two teams clash again in the final of the Bill Pennycook League Cup at Luncarty Juniors ground. This kicks off at 12.30 p.m. Like last Sunday Dave requests the Letham support yet again turn up in big numbers to encourage the team. Letham U13 Tangerine (sponsored by John Gillespie, Hairdresser, St.John Street) The team kept up their challenge for League Honours with a hard fought three goals to one victory at Meigle. Letham U13 White (sponsored by John B Tainsh, Convenience Store, Rannoch Road) Mixed fortunes last week losing by two goals to nil at Kinnoull but winning by six goals to two at Meigle. Game on Sunday depends on semi-final result against Blairgowrie earlier this week. Letham Tangerine 2000 (sponsored by Glenalmond Bldg. & Maint. Ltd.,) Last weeks home game against Glenrothes Strollers was postponed as the visitors were unable to raise a team. Tomorrow they are in Fife to play East Fife Gold. Sandy will advise arrangements. Letham White 2000 (sponsored by Cherrybank Garage) The Whites were in top form away to AK Reds last weekend. On Sunday Crieff are the visitors to the pitch at Letham Primary School. Kevin will advise timings. Letham Tangerine 2001 (sponsored by New Today, Furniture Centre, Canal Street) A very good display at Luncarty last week. On Sunday Meigle Lads are visitors to Seven Acres. This game is scheduled to start at 11.00a.m. Letham White 2002 (sponsored by RGW Play Area Maint. Ltd.,) In a tight game the honours finished even at St Madoes last weekend. On Sunday they are again on their travels this time to Blairgowrie. Mike will advise arrangements. Letham Tangerine 2003 (sponsored by Flonix IT, 5 St John Street) Well played the club’s youngest team with a great display at Blairgowrie. On Sunday they entertain Meigle Lads at Seven Acres. Letham Sky Blue 2002 (sponsored by Taylor’s Taxis, Leonard Street) In a great game the team secured the bragging rights over rivals Jeanfield Swifts Black. They will be hoping to maintain their form as Meigle supply the opposition this week at Seven Acres. This game starts at 10.00a.m. prompt Letham Girls U15 (sponsored by Maximan’s Computer Media, Aberfeldy) Although not at full strength the tangerines were too good for Whitburn winning by five goals to nil. Tomorrow Musselburgh Windsor visit Seven Acres. This game kicks off at 11.00 a.m. Letham Girls U13 (sponsored by IJPD Bldg.Management Services Perth) There was no game last weekend. The cup fixture against Jeanfield originally meant to be played tomorrow was in fact played last night. Letham Girls U11 (sponsored by R.A.S.C. R.C.T. Association) Last week’s game was called off. Tomorrow they have a home game against East Fife Gold. Meet clubhouse no later than 9.45 a.m. Letham Tot’s Soccer School (sponsored by China, China, St. Leonard’s Bridge) The sessions for boys and girls in primaries 1 and 4 continues at Seven Acres from the new time of 11.00 a.m. Bring a drink, wear shin pads. Ask for Thomas. Letham Coaches (sponsored by McLeod Glaziers, Inveralmond Road) The club would like to hear from volunteers willing to give up some of their spare time and become a coach to one of our younger teams. The club has no shortage of youngsters wanting to play for Letham and desperately needs additional help to meet the demand.
