This game played on all weather pitch at the Crieff Campus. Vale are undefeated in the second division and a hard game was anticipated against one of the club’s oldest rivals going back to 1961. Letham were by far the better footballing side but their good build up play was not turned into goals. It took then till after the break to open the scoring (50mins) 15 mins later DK was upended in the box and a blatant penalty duly converted. Then with 10 mins to go slack defensive work allowed the home team to score. Luckily the Tangerines went up the field and scored to make the score (1-3) In the 87th minute it was all over securing a fourth goal . If both teams had taken their chances the score would have been 10-3 to letham. So in the end a comfortable win to go into 3rd Rd of Scottish
