Hamilton Accies (4) v Girls Under 15 (4 )
The girls should have had this tie sewn up in the first half but could not get the ball on target. Shooting up the slope despite bags of pressure it was the home team that went ahead after 15 mins. A goalie error allowed the Tangerines to tap in the equaliser. After the break and with the slope advantage Letham went ahead by 2 goals to 1. Near the end the home team equalised. So irt was extra time. Letham went ahead 3-2 and we thought that was it but accies came back to equalise. The they took the lead 4-3 with only 5 minutes remaining of the 15 mins each way extra time. A lob into Hamilton goalmouth which was helped on its way by the Hamilton goalie for the equaliser (4-4) So it was penalties. Credir where credit is due the letham girls tucked away their 5 with aplomb. Alas the second Hamilton lassie ‘s shot was saved and they went through 5 -3 This game although won could just as easily been lost but should take heart that they are in the last 8 of the Scottish cup and hope for a home draw
