Letham took an early lead and despite considerable pressure from the home team added a second via the penalty spot and a third with a lob over the home goalkeeper. The referee booked a number of Letham players for what they perceived as soft at best and this resulted in the Tangerines central defender being ordered off late in the first half.
After the interval with Coupar having slope advantage they put considerable pressure on our defence. To their credit they held firm until two controversial referee decisions resulted in the game being 3 to 2. As the minutes ticked away the home team equalised and looked as if they would pinch the winner. However Letham’s spirit kept them going and they deservedly scored the winner with no more than one minute remaining much to the delight of the Letham support
